Potatoes are pretty great. They’re an incredibly versatile vegetable (tuber, if we’re getting technical) and a member of the nightshade family (like tomatoes and eggplants). Their skin is full of fiber and they’re full of vitamin C, potassium, and minerals.

You can roast, fry, boil, or bake them. My favorite way to eat a potato, you ask?

Mashed.

And while I honestly believe that mashed potatoes are pretty hard to mess up (I mean, you’re boiling potatoes and then mashing them with butter and milk), there are definitely some things that you can do to help you make better mashed potatoes.
