It’s pretty wild (and some of you are definitely already aware), but I HAVE ANOTHER COOKBOOK COMING OUT AND THIS ONE IS ALL ABOUT CHEESE.
I know what you’re thinking: “How the heck do you have TWO BOOKS coming out in ONE YEAR?”
Listen, this wasn’t entirely planned, but I am also not mad about it at all whatsoever. In fact, I AM SO EXCITED TO SHARE THIS ONE WITH YOU GUYS!!
Ok, so. The book is called Cheesy and it comes out September 8. In it, you’ll find 50 recipes, all using cheese as a seasonal ingredient, as well as seasonal produce and techniques. You’ll also find homemade accoutrements, seasonal cheese boards, and cheese buying tips. There’s a recipe for a black sesame Basque cheesecake, a recipe for charred corn Caesar salad, and a recipe for short rib, carrot, and cheddar pie. I deep dive into grilled cheese and macaroni and cheese and talk about all the kinds of Jack cheese.
It’s a really fun book with gorgeous photos (thanks to Justin Walker) all styled beautifully (thanks to Anna Billingskog) on really cute props (thanks to John Lingenfelter). This book was a massive team effort and it was such a joy to work on. The team at Chronicle, my publisher, was incredible (big shoutout to my glorious editor, Alex Galou!!).
I feel very grateful to have been able to work on this book and grateful for everyone’s support of The Hot Dog Cookbook and would be ENDLESSLY grateful if you guys would preorder Cheesy!
Preorders are important for a variety of reasons. It tells the entire industry that this book deserves space, attention, and a long life. Preorders signal demand, they count towards first week sales, and they influence marketing and support.
