I SHOT AND EDITED MY FIRST VIDEO AND IT WASN’T NEARLY AS HARD AS I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE!!
I made CRUNCHWRAPS.
but not just any crunchwrap…PIZZA cunchwraps!!!
I made these for a popup at Mo’s General recently and they were such a hit, I felt like I couldn’t go wrong having this be the first recipe I cook here for you guys. It’s easy, full of all my favorite pizza flavors, and honestly just the best.
It’s also 20 minutes long WHICH SORRY NOT SORRY. It’s hard to cut bc I had so much fun making it and there’s so much happening. I have a feeling you’ll watch it all.
I started out the shoot day by walking over to Win Son Bakery to grab breakfast rations for Ian and myself. I had Ian coming, as I mentioned, to help with audio and to make sure I was setting myself up for success. The idea of these videos is that I really, truly am shooting and editing these myself and I want them to feel fun without sacrificing too much quality. The sound is an important element in that regard.
Anyway, I got to Win Son and Trigg and Josh (the owners) happened to be there! It was so fun to see my friends before this big shoot day, especially since I was relatively nervous (idk why! I just put a lot of pressure on myself, so I felt like there was a lot riding on this first shoot, even though there really isn’t).
Anyway, Ian came by and we ate and had coffee and he helped me setup the audio for the shoot, then stuck around to watch me film and be a complete jackass. It was so good to have a friend there on my first day. For one, it’s nice to have a human to react to the things that I say, but also, Ian and I worked really closely together at MUNCHIES for a few years and I really respect his opinion, so having him on set to throw out advice and stuff was a huge bonus and made me feel super comfortable.
All in all, the shoot went really well. I DID mess up one part of the recipe, but you get a front row seat to see how I fix it in real time. So that’s cool.
Despite all of that, I think y’all are going to like it.
It’s a little sneak peek into my world, a bit of the chaos of my brain, and honestly just fun, if I do say so myself.
Recipe (for all subscribers!) and video (for paid only!) coming in hot at noon. Stay tuned.
Totally fine with 20 minute videos.
