Recipes for the BIG GAME
plus a recipe for the crispiest wings of your life—sans fryer
Thank you SO MUCH for being here! It would mean the world to me if you clicked on the HEART button at the bottom of this post or left a comment; it really helps spread the word about my newsletter. Better yet: recommend this newsletter to a friend you think would enjoy reading or become a paid subscriber to help support me in continuing to create content to share with you.
Let me first start off by saying: I am not, I repeat NOT, a football person. I really don’t know anything about football…nor do I really care.
I don’t always even watch the Super Bowl. I do, however, enjoy talking a bit of shit, eating lots of snacks, watching the commercials…you know, the usual Super Bowl things.
That being said, I figured I’d share some of my favorite Super Bowl recipes with you guys. Let it be noted that these recipes are good for any party, not just one that involves watching people throw or kick or hit a ball.
ALSO. I shared a recipe months ago on socials for chicken wings. The thing that I loved about this recipe is that they require NO DEEP-FRYING. And yet! They still end up incredibly crisp!
The secret? Pat them really, really dry and leave them in the fridge, uncovered (preferably overnight if you have the time!). Then, you place them on a wire rack in a 250°F oven for 30 minutes, flipping them once halfway. Increase the oven temp to 400° and bake them another 45 to 50 minutes until they’re crispy (don’t forget to flip them halfway through cooking again).
They come out sooooo good, and you don’t have a bunch of oil to discard at the end. Yes, it takes a bit of planning and oven space, but I think it’s worth it. I toss them with melted butter / hot sauce and serve them with my homemade ranch (recipe at the very bottom of here!).
Give it a try. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Comment below and let me know what you plan on making (or eating!) this Sunday.
